Devon Sawa and Shane West conversing made 15 year old me hyperventilate.

Yup, that is Cybill playing the Paula Deen-esque character. Remember when she played Martha Stewart in the made-for-TV movie? I guess in her next project she'll be playing Masaharu Morimoto.

A mixed child is dethroned every 2.25 seconds in the US ALONE!*

Hey man, my mom accidentally took us to see Cool World, thinking it was a kid's movie. Nevermind that Aladdin was playing in the same theater. Oh, no. She had to be creative. Inappropriate mothering FTW.

The Kimye baby. I've had enough.

I would like to disabuse our community of the notion that, just in general, the problem with women is that group of women over there. There are no good guys and bad guys. We're all kind of sucking at this solidarity thing, myself included. Instead of speaking righteously, we need to fix what's going on in our own

!!! I used to do this too, and it sucks. I would do really crazy stuff like order a pizza and when I opened the door to the delivery guy, pretend I was talking to someone else in the apartment so he wouldn't think I was going to eat it all by myself.

“I spent half my life eating apology-salad as publicly as possible so that I might be able to pass as one of the “good ones.”

I went to college in 2007, after a six year stint in the military. With a 9 year age difference, I was shocked by how different our abilities were in terms of English, Basic Math, and even general US History. At one point, I had to spend an hour explaning to my poli-sci major dormie that while the Berlin Wall did not

My husband carries Cole Haan's Hermitage Newspaper Bag and it's awesome. Since he bought it, he hasn't asked me "hey, can you stick this in your purse for me?" even once. LET THE MAN BAG TREND SPREAD FAR AND WIDE.

It has never made sense to me how a rucksack (or a purse, as it's called now in gendered terms) came to be a woman's object.

I go back and reread Little Women every other year or so and I highly recommend rediscovering it or discovering it for the first time. It's always so wonderful and I always find something new as my perspective changes.

I am sickened by Dr Oz fame-whoring his way into that horrible story. The plumber saved the woman's life; Oz showed up later to give quotes to the press and pose with the guy. Ugh.

Anyone else think Dr. Oz has been practicing that hero face and standing in the shadows of Rockefeller Center waiting for an emergency of enough gravity to deploy it on the masses? It's perfect.

My living room shelf is one from the Ann Arbor store and it still has its label on too.

I once went out with a girl for a few dates, and one day, after a particularly good date we headed back to my place. I was making her a drink in the kitchen and she was kind of browsing around my bookshelf when she made the comment, "wow you sure have a lot of books based off movies."

I am currently seeing other

This is a thing I can get behind. I love pictures of bookshelves and kinda hate selfless (esp. the word 'selfies')

The one true downside of the e-reader.

Sometimes they are funny. See dog in pic and LaComtesse's bibliophilic cat. And a friend of mine took a pic that very clearly showed what was going on in her life. It included a stack of books on breastfeeding, vaccines, babies, and one book entitled Liquor. Guess who bought her that one. ;)

Bookshelfies should only count if the books are in focus and the person's head is blurry. DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR HAIR JUST GIMME THEM TITLES
