Yup. This was the last Star Wars game I had fun with. I'd still like to see a sequel.

Phil Fish and Jonathan Blow need to work on a game together if only so I can have a reason to make really terrible Hootie and the Blowfish jokes.

So what caused the falling out between Phil Fish and his business partner?

I HEAR THEY'RE DOING THE SAME THING WITH THEIR NEW CONSOLE!!!

Well Free Radical did. That's for sure.

That is a good point. But like the Killzone 2 trailer the main reason we took notice of this game was the snazzy graphics and very little else. If the graphics were average looking we wouldn't be so excited by yet another third person cover based shooter.

But unless you check out the interviews with the developers you'd never know that the main character is a just a place holder character.

That would not shock me. I will say this. I am excited that at some point SOMEBODY will release a game that looks this good. Whether 1313 ends up being that game, I don't know, but somebody will make it happen.

I was just as blown away by the 1313 footage as much as the next guy, but lets face it, we were duped. It was like the first Killzone 2 trailer all over again.

You do raise a good point. Perhaps Kotaku East should scale back on it's daily dose of Asian perviness.

True enough. Plus now that I think about it, it seems like people locked into the two year contract would be getting screwed if and when there's a price drop.

Yeah I'll be waiting for the price to come down too. Plus if the next launch is anything like the last one I really won't be tempted to spend hundreds of dollars on a console so I can play...Geometry Wars.

One hook that come to mind is the rumors that Sony is going buy OnLive or that other cloud service company whose name escapes me, (starts with a "G"?). That could be huge.

Speaking of Nintendo I wonder if they'll benefit from the the very real possibility that Orbis and Durango launch titles won't look much more visually impressive than what's capable on the PS3 and 360.

That's a good point about price versus first to market. It reminds me that I bought my 360 years before my PS3 in part because it was cheaper. Both systems were available when I was shopping for a new console but I didn't see a compelling reason to buy a PS3 at a higher price point (regardless of it's built in Blu-Ray

So what will Sony have to do in order to regain the number one slot in the so-called console wars? Here are my thoughts in no particular order:

Yeah there's probably a lot up there that I've forgotten about. I'd love to get my hands on early issues of Optic Nerve. I've also got a first printing of Batman: The Killing Joke. Is that worth anything?

I'd be more interested in Blacklight if it came with a Pink Floyd poster. Hey-o!

I am guffaw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
