I don’t think ignoring racism, or racist symbolism, is the best solution. Those things serve zero useful purpose to society (again, other than for historical reasons such as museums, books, etc). Consequently, eliminating them is a loftier goal than letting them persist and turning a blind eye.

As I’ve climbed the ranks in my company, which would be a small business as it consists of 100-150 people, I’ve seen enough to know that this happens even with companies not considered giant corporations.

They’re reusable. You can clean them. You clean them and then stockpile them for the next pandemic, which hopefully won’t be for a very long time. If your hospital doesn’t have room, donate them to the national stockpile that’s been depleted.
