Coming to the series almost fresh (I saw The Golden Compass once but don’t remember much, and have never read the books) I get the impression there’s information missing, the world building had holes, and overall you maybe need to have read the books first.

I was playing Unreal, but just kind-of stopped. After a month of nothing but the odd game of Spelunky, I’m now playing Binary Domain.

I finished Portal Stories: Mel from last weekend, despite getting stuck a few times on some incredibly simple puzzles. I don’t know if they were actually harder than the solution suggests, I was out of practice, or my brain’s dead from under use the last few years. They definitely assume you’ve played the other games…
