Maybe Valve will get around to actually fixing the Early Access system now instead of doing nothing apart from putting hats in TF2.

With some additional lighting and such, they could still do it. It's only a beta at this point, and it seems like they've continued to focus on gameplay first and foremost. I imagine the final game will probably be quite attractive, but we'll see!

Because, as a rule, kids are more tech saavy than their parents and will either a) hide the fact that the 3DS has parental controls from their parents, or b) will figure out how to circumvent the parental controls, either by cracking the password or exploiting holes in the 3DS, or just through social hacking like…

Eh. That's fair I guess. I'm sure some people will get bent out of shape about this and shout "censorship" and all that, but honestly, for a quarter and a nickel, I think this is a reasonable-if-imperfect solution to the "family friendly console with internet" problem.

Don't forget about Sega not wanting to take a chance on publishing the game, probably as a result of that lack of interest.
