It's actually a pretty decent golden ale, too.

Eh, never for me. Either that or I get bored of it halfway through a serving without something to eat it with. I'm fond of the southeast asian style where you just get a big-ass spoon and scoop rice and meat or whatever together for every bite. I'd need more than just rice for lunch, basically.

Is that enough food for a lunch? All the artsy bentos I see are mostly rice, with maybe a tiny amount of vegetables or meat. But rice wrapped in seaweed and accents.

Congrats on the COTDs, boys. These are both your first COTDs of 2012, giving you both a 0.6944% share of the 144 awards given this year. You are the 112th and 113th unique winners, respectively, and bring the average to 1.2743 awards-per-winner, standard deviation of 0.7102.

So, DasWauto got his post mentioned/highlighted, therefore he gets the COTD award. Admittedly, I'm caring less and less with the 6.0 changeover, but the spreadsheet is still up to date for now.

Well, it looks like I can at least use my previous rules of awarding COTD (DOTD?) awards. Basically, if your comment gets posted here in the big ol' quote box, you get an award.

I'm a 20-something R&D engineer, not that interesting. I don't even have an interesting car (yet...).

I could put something up, yeah. The new commenting system will allow me to upload graphs (since I don't have access to personal storage/backup sites at work).

Thank you for the interesting perspective, MottPower! I can sympathize, as I am near Ft. Hood, and see similar behavior when I travel out that way. It's sad, really.

Congrats on your first COTD of 2012, Mr. Keats. With this, you get a 0.7299% share of the 137 total awards given this year. You're the 108th unique winner, and bring the average down to 1.2685 awards-per-winner, standard deviation of 0.7183.

Congrats on the COTD man, that's crazy to hear it's his DD!

Mmkay, so I'm making the assumption that each person is awarded a COTD for this, rather than an award-per-noted-comment. This assumption is based on the precedent set on March 5, 2012, with the Don Draper Edition COTD.

Easy.

Hello! You get numbers!

Once the spreadsheet is set up, it's pretty easy. Just copy down the Edition, the name, and the user ID into the appropriate date row, and it pretty much does the rest for me now. Excel automatically copies hyperlinks, so I've got easy access to the previous editions and user profile pages just by clickin' 'em.

Okay Mr. JPL Scientist, have some easy numbers. These ain't rocket surgery, or anything.

I don't think their any excuse for inattentiveness, road rage, or any other driving "normalities".

The law is actually safer in this case. A cyclist on a sidewalk is dangerous for pedestrians AND the cyclist. There is more risk of people pulling out of driveways in front of a cyclist (they are looking at the road, not at a fast(ish) moving cyclist on the sidewalk), more risk of people turning INTO driveways in

Bicycles, at least here in Texas, are required to have a front light and a rear reflector.

Pay more attention. I've never failed to see a cyclist, nor have I ever failed to see a motorcyclist. maybe it helps that I'm both, but one should not be unaware of other road users just because of non-familiarity.
