As a non-Boston person living in Boston, the admiration for the Red Sox among anyone not 50+ is so far behind Pats/B's/Celtics it's almost laughable. People around here truly seem to care about football, hockey and basketball, while baseball is the thing they root for because they think they are supposed to.

Don't get me wrong, it's absurd that he didn't register a single rebound, but your point about athleticism is the (kinda) answer. In 6th grade basketball even the most athletic average size kids can't outjump someone who has a foot on them. That is not true in the NBA.
