@potentialender: Yes... but the "such better videos" were competing with an unfair advantage namely with equipment that was even more expensive than the prized "camera you can't afford". I'm personally glad people voted for the underdog, and not the people who seem to have both finances and experience.

@TheOtherHalf: This is actually exactly why I didn't enter. I have a 7d already. I'd certainly like to have another... but it didn't seem like I'd have much chance of winning the "camera I can't afford" by entering a contest with that very same camera. I was disappointed to see an entry with a 5d.
