I always use my forward side mouse button for crouch and the back one for quick melee or grenades (If Q is taken for leaning). I use C for proning. Taking your fingers off WASD to perform an action that is commonly used during combat isn’t a good idea.

Rebind to middle click. Most games use this as their fire selection button. I couldn’t imagine pressing B everytime I needed to switch my fire mode.
