The demo most likely had infinite fulton's considering it was strictly for demonstration purposes, much like the AI was probably toned down a bit too.

Yeah, I think that's exactly it. The gimmick of this release (since, let's face it, every DBZ game needs a gimmick of why they want you to play through the exact same events every game), will be that you create a character and get to use them through major moments in the series.
Alienconcepts may have figured it out:
If it's a decent character creator, I might actually get this game...
I think you may have just nailed it.
As a lady-gamer (yes i am game yes i play girl) it might be nice to play a few more ladies! Tomb raider and lolly pop chainsaw get a bit drab (TR is great tho) I don't mind the males, but I can understand that the largest market for games are boys, and to appease the market making male characters is the easiest and…
I personally disagree. I, for one can tend to find that shit fascinating, depending on whose broadcasting.
Not drinking the Kool-aid any more are you Mr Molyneux?
do it. aside from pacing issues and not going THAT far when it comes to power like gurren lagann did. this is trigger through and through. not to mention it is filled with fantastic references.
When asked about Russian motorcycle cops Putin had this to say:
Holy shit....common sense...is that you?!
Well, except that, in regards to people, a "trope" might as well -mean- "stereotype" and many many many celebrities are entirely successful for marketing themselves as racist stereotypes. It also doesn't help that I've never heard an instance of anyone ever -actually- carrying a bird in his hair, Asians -have- narrow…
It extends beyond black characters, any non-majority ethnicity tends to get the "G.I. Joe" approach in Japan (heck, just about -every- Street Fighter character is a racist stereotype, Guile? Zangief? E.Honda? Dhalsim? ...), but Beast Man here really takes the cake and makes it blatantly offensive.
It's not limited to…
I'm black, I have several friends who played this game who are also black, we saw nothing offensive in this. I don't think they were comparing his hair to a birds nest. There is a long running trope of the afro that holds like everything inside it or whatever. That's how I saw it. Actually one of the biggest stars in…
Mr Popo... a black dude named after a black dudes fear
I feel bad because this took me like 3 seconds to actually get.
Yeah that bird's nest shit was racist as fuck, but Sazh turned out to be a really good character despite that.
I try not to be too hard on Square though. Name 3 RPGs that have black characters that you don't create.
Always rubbed me the wrong way.
Here's the thing, I felt that way too for a bit, but I looked around and noticed everyone's hair was freaking stupid; not just his. I don't know, maybe I just justified it to myself. Japanese don't typically handle diversity well.
DOn't be fooled, they're still racists. Look at any Black character in Japanese games. They're pretty much all hulking oafs who only speak in jive and curse words. Shit in Binary Domain they had a Black guy who bugs his eyes out and every-other word is fuck and shit from his mouth.
