"All this may be water under the bridge, though. I'm admittedly a big fan of the Fisker Karma. And I just want it back."
Bring it to EVERY car show to crush all of those nightmare causing stuffed hide-and-seek children that all the other PT-aholics lean against their rig.
It very much helps if you have a circle of friends that are willing to take the plunge with you. I was ready for Lemons four years ago. Got an awesome car, organized a team, came up with a theme that got us approved for the New Hampshire race. Then... one by one... team members bailed. No time. No money. No desire…
Cursed Chicken Tax. *grumblegrumblegrumble*
Totally agree. I loved my Suzuki Swift. Sounded like a box full of angry bees when I got it up to 70 on the highway. Marvelous little car and still happily buzzing away with my brother in law. (I have since fallen in love with a simple Nissan Sentra now <3 )
I'm slowly building my 10 car garage with 1:18 scale diecast (mostly AutoArt). When I reach 10 you are welcome to come over for an interview and I will tell you all about them over a few drinks.
Anyone remember the Volvo commercial where it gets run over by a monster truck and is virtually unscathed? Well, this is 10 times better. This footage makes me want to buy one of those cars! The thing just drove away, ready to kick-ass another day.
I WANT OFFSPRING OF INDESTRUCTIBLE HILUX!
Crap. I just posted the same thing. Somehow I missed your post. But, I totally agree with you. The Daytona and Superbird were pretty extreme departures from their origins.
Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbird first came to mind.
The kind of swinging couple that would respond to that ad would have no sense of caution or they would be quite desperate. Chances are... they would be pretty ugly and turned down.
Consumer Reports contributed to the death... But, Insurance reporting also gave some offputting stats as well. "According to a 1995 report by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety,[1] the 1991–1993 Two Wheel drive Geo Tracker had 21 driver fatalities for 66,210 registered vehicles, the highest incidence…
"and that while "a Sequoia sized SUV" [the Montero] is almost assuredly green-lit"
Saw this wonderfully modified Geo Tracker the other day. I couldn't resist snapping a pic of it. Too bad it's an auto. It probably still is a crazy blast to drive.
I hope they find a way to make Paul's departure from the series a wonderful tribute. One which fans of the series will be proud to witness his final work. Back when Brandon Lee died, they still finished The Crow. They did an excellent job finishing that film and it pays tribute to how awesome he was as an actor. If…
Thanks for cracking it open! I was really curious. I already have a 1 Farad Cap wired in line for my car audio set-up. I hadn't really considered the possible minimal fuel economy benefits of having my electrical system happy. Then again... with appx 50 lbs of amps and speakers I am nullifying the fuel savings by…
Hahah! Same here! My friends and I discovered the remains of an old 40's car deep in the backyard of their house. No idea how it could have gotten there.
The internet gives you so much power. I used to have a subscription to a great car magazine called "Tuner Performance Reports". They vowed to give honest reviews of products and true Dyno stats. Unfortunately, whenever they wrote a bad review about a product, the manufacturer would pull advertising funds. This…
This is going to be my only "To ME. From ME!" Present under the tree.
