What a fantastic week! So many awesome cars for LaLD car week 2019. I do not envy SN210 for having to tally up all those ribbonclicks. Gah! For my final entry to car week, I present this amazing Chrysler 300 by Johnny Lightning. I’m not a huge 50's era car guy. But, when I found this Chrysler at a toy show it had to…
I am falling dearly in love with classic Schuco cars. The details are fantastic. For LaLD car week of the 1960's (the GT was introduced in ‘68) I present the immortal Ford Escort Gt.
Been looking forward to sharing this car for a very long time. Back in Feb, NewEnglandDiecast shared a killer hawl of cars and I made a quick comment about how much I <3 the Mopar Missile. To my surprise a sudden package showed up at my doorstep not a week after with said Mopar Missile. I’m still itching to get him…
Buy Volvos. They’re boxy but they’re good.
How about some Kei Car love eh? You know you want to click the little ribbon thingy because it’s so darn cute! <3
Car Week is off to a smashing start! Amazing cars yesterday :) Here is my entry for the 2000's. The immortal Dodge Magnum wagon. <3 Matchbox 1:64 scale.
I found that my collection really doesn’t have many cars made after 2010! Here’s Matt’s 2018 Ford Fusion Darlington Raceway throwback car. One of the most awesome liveries to grace NASCAR. The paintjob is awesome.
Recent eBay score. I continue my quest to find a 1:64(ish) Diecast cars to represent every automotive Marquee. This is my first Sunbeam. Though I would rather find the chrome dish wheel variant. These are pretty rare so I cant be too picky. It’s missing the plastic removable roof which is usually translucent blue.…
Good things come to those who wait. It took about a month for this to reach me from the Netherlands. But, it was well worth the wait. Tomica Sprinter Carib! AKA in the U.S. Toyota Tercel 4WD.
Since it wasn’t a soul crushing 100 degrees here in New England this weekend it was a bit easier to waste an entire Saturday digging for diecast treasures. Cavendish VT was having their annual town wide yard sale and it did not disappoint at all.
I’ve been drinking energy drinks since my college days. It will probably be the death of me and result in kidney failure or diabetes... But, whatever. Pick your poison right? Anyhow, around 10 years ago I noticed a lot of people were wearing Monster Energy hoodies and whatnot, but I never saw them for sale in stores.…
Today is the annual Charlestown NH Town Wide Yard Sale. Since the cat shelter I volunteer at is also in Charlestown I started my day there around 5:45 a.m. (bleck!) and helped get the shelter yard sale set up. Around 8 I was good to go while the other volunteers would handle the selling and cleanup for the day.
In case you are new here. DLM is LaLD speak for Diecast Liberation Movement. And since my previous shelf space was limited, I had many many many diecast cars still in their retail tombs. LET’S BREAK THEM FREE!
As I am setting up my new mancave, I’m finding that there are some cars that really do not fit into my collection overall. Cars that I picked up on a whim or found for a great deal and could not pass them up (you know how that goes).
They probably wont fit my entire collection... but at least a few hundred of my most favorite cars. Car that gets the first honors... Majorette Plymouth Police Car.
This is why I have been pretty quiet around here lately. My step-daughter moved out a couple months ago and it was time for a much-needed upgrade in my fun space. After we helped her move out, I dug right in and started a top to bottom re-do of her old room.
Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I made a post. Work has been pretty crazy and almost all my free time has been going into remodeling a room that is going to be AP’s ultimate man cave/diecast haven. I’m excited about how much it’s coming along and I apologize to a couple of you that I owe tradeback boxes for…
The door gaps and mold lines are horrific on this for a Tomica. So, I have to presume its a pretty early version from the first years of their 1:64 lineup. Even the rivet post has a unique hash-stamp on it that I have never noticed. I like that this is probably the most pedestrian example I have ever seen a of a …
Too bad this is missing all the fun chrome bits, because this Bug Bomb is amazing. I love how Topper really came out with some great competitive designs vs HotWheels back then. The paint is ever so cool as well. Guess they should have used some better glue or rivets to keep the add on pieces in place.
Another obscure hatchback joins the growing AP family. This one, though imperfect, comes from Mira Diecast of Spain. I can’t say that I know much about the 14GTS other than it looks like my kind of French Ride :)
