Classic Playart cars just make me dance now. I’ve always been a fan of the Ford Capri. Just love the lines and overall look. This Playart car is in fantastic shape and I definitely was very happy to find it at the show.
Car #1 from my box of gems purchased at the Collectibles shop at the Rutland Vt. Mall. A rather playworn Zylmex Datsun wagon that I couldn’t leave behind despite it’s condition. :)
Sweet Christmas this thing is a treat. Grey BMW’s really call to me. super clean cast with excellent details/fit/finish. Such an amazing car :)
This was my favorite score from yesterday’s mega-HAWL. As soon as I saw this minty fresh Tomica Corolla I had to have it. Just perfect in every way. All of the amazing Tomica qualities are featured here. I am absolutely psyched to have this in my collection.
Diecast sensory OVERLOAD! My facebook feed popped up last week with one of those “you might be interested in...” events. Oh my dear god it could not have been more right.
Once again, I am not going to pretend that I know a ton about this car. Because, I don’t. I will say that when I saw the HW hanging on a peg I was quite curious. I wondered if it was a fantasy cast. After a quick Google check, it does exist as a very rare 1:1 coachbuilt car with Ferrari roots. So rad! The HW version…
I’m going to tampo-delete the side graphics. But, I couldn’t resist taking some first shots of this after removing it from the card. Fantasy casts are not my thing, but I do make an exception from time to time when they look this good!
Why this TH is not more popular is beyond me. The color is amazing and the details are really fantastic. It looks even better on the $TH. But, I am leaving that carded. I couldn’t resist busting out this regular TH though. The metal on metal Tucker is really solid and has excellent details. The casting lines near the…
I’m still blown away by the early years PlayArt cars. They really nailed it on some of these castings. This Fiat 124 Sport is no exception. My example here is missing the bumpers. But, that doesn’t deter (much) from the overall quality and detail that this car had. Excellent front grille and headlights. Interior is…
... and somewhere to go. I wonder where this little L20SU powerplant is going to end up?
It’s amazing. I swear I didn’t add any of the fine details to the bike on the back. I’m just blown away that they even bothered with that level of detail on a .99c car. Insane.
Been a really busy few weeks. I haven’t been able to take pics and post. Had a very exhausting (but fun) business trip to Puerto Rico. More on that in a bit. But first, my new favorite $uper Treasure Hunt.
There’s nothing I really hate more than indoor flea market vendors that abuse their wares. I’ve been eyeballing this Robby Gordon Action car for well... forever it seems. But the $20 price point just didn’t do it for me. Last weekend I visited the shop and the vendor was having a sale. Cool. But they stacked a bunch…
I can’t help myself. I have a unhealthy admiration for the unloved Ford Escorts <3 This has to be my most favorite Restomod yet and it happened by accident.
No time for words. Gotta go to work! More pics of 1:18 Scale Greenlight Eleanor <3
2018 was really really kind to me. Not only did I score my 1:64 scale grail car, but I also managed to acquire my 1:18 scale grail after several years of waiting for the right opportunity. Back in 2014 I saw a picture (on Jalopnik I think) of Touring Superleggera’s Alfa Romero Disco Volante in green with gold trim and…
Found myself in West Lebanon NH on Wednesday. Since I missed out on the final K-Day of 2018 in Dec, I figured I would pop into K-Mart and snag 20 cars to qualify for the VW Drag Bus mail in (it’s still valid peeps).
One of my coworkers figured out that I am some sort of diecast car nutjob that would pounce on the opportunity to fix up his nephews tired old GMC. Bring it!
It’s just beautiful.
When KStateDiecast had a irresistible Black Friday sale... I wasn’t going to pass on the opportunity to slip a sweet Nascar Diecast under the tree from “Santa”. Though, I couldn’t get carried away and just chose one diecast to rule them all for that purchase. I picked out John Hunter Nemechek’s Plan B Sales Chevy…
