FFXIII did require a lot of player involvement and input. I think you're confused with the horrible FFXII where you had to pretend to be a programmer and fool around for hours with gambits which, once set, meant you could play the game for hours with no other input than the left analog stick since the game played…

I'm a bit confused. That Kickstarter originally said it was gonna come out for 360 and WiiU only (Talking about modern consoles only). And somewhere the devoper added PS3, PS4 and Vita to the mix, delayed the WiiU and dropped the 360?

He surely has a fair amount of great games under his BELT, right?

I'm not so sure about that. Not because NFL players couldn't do it so much as they fear the potential exemplary punishment the league would bestow upon them. The NFL doesn't tolerate at all that kind of behavior and in comparison FIFA doesn't have a reputation of being as strict.

there are hundreds of GOTYs given out by media outlets every year. My guess is as long as a game gets one GOTY (for comparison's sake TLoU was the one that got more in 2013 and got more than 200!) they get to grab the name "GOTY Edition".

On a side note not totally unrelated: I'm playing through Halo:CE Anniversary for the very first time thanks Tia friend who lent me his 360 and I've gotta say: boy is the second half of the campaign has some of the worst level designs ever in a modern FPS.

well I respectfully disagree. I think TLOU has excellent gameplay mechanics. Especially when playin in hard mode where your only choice is having to really use all your arsenal and switch constantly between available weapons and stealth.

Is the WiiU Pro Controller really that horrible? Hell I played most of SSBB with a Wii Classic Controller and it was fine! I'm sure as hell never paying $100 for a controller that'll only I'd use for one game.

I also think FFXV was too much for him to handle.
