The car you share on my birthday just happens to be orange. Sweet!
Wow, I’m digging this little car! Reminds me of my Arrow, but with hints of General Motors’ global t-platform(chevette) and a big chunk of plastic on the front.
From the hood forward, does anybody else see a very tiny HUMMVE?
This makes me think of the Pixar Theory. Maybe these are the people that refused to leave Earth in Wall-E and they developed these life support systems so they could stay. Since the wanted mobility too, they used the abundant automobile. They started with older model vehicles for simplicity and gradually learned to…
This reminds me of a little story that was shared with me. I’m currently attending an Automotive Service Technician coarse and one of the teachers was talking about the number of gears in modern transmissions. This lead him to remember the old GM 2-speed automatic transmissions and how tough they were. Back in the…
I’ll give it a nice price, even though my ‘89 GMC Vandura was also $900,but, ran well and didn’t need anything major - just a heater core and key tumbler replacement.
FN hate Jeep thieves.
That makes sense and I was tempted to put “helicopters used strictly for camera use” in my post. Why send a drone out to look for people, when you can use a helicopter to help them at the same time? Yet, drones are considerably lower in cost than helicopters and airplanes, giving many more people access to aerial…
Might as well have some fun while you can, as it seems like it is only a matter of time before helicopters for video use are completely replaced by drones!
So, you mean, I’d have to bite the car for it to let me in?
It’s interesting what it was capable of off-road in spite of having two wheel drive and no locking differentials. Oddly enough, though, four wheel drive conversions where actually available for it back then! Just search for “model t livingood”. Four wheeler has two articles, then there is this video:
Ha! That was great! Sounds fun, I’ll give it a try;
While there is many ‘crap cans’ that I like, I will go with the Plymouth Arrow, since I have experience with one. It’s categorized as a crap can due to being sold as an economy car and being a 70’s economy import, it has rust. The low weight, rear wheel drive and manual transmission make the 83 horse 1.6 engine fun,…
... which I’m pretty sure is the only roadster/convertible/sportscar that’s based off a pickup truck.
