but if you do have a good PC, I can see holding off.

Am I the only one who was sort of hoping it was going to be bad just so I wouldn't want to play it? Damn it, who's got time for an 85 hour-long epic when Smash Bros for Wii U comes out this Friday, and we've got every other great release this season?

Of course they have QA. And you can bet they say these bugs. Management decided to release the game anyway, however. They had a release date, and stuck with it, despite the quality of the game.

I'm going to give it my best guess:

I was thinking mostly of AC3. That underground location you hung out in for most of the game, where you had to platform around to find those activated objects to move on with the story. I could never remember where the hell I'd already been or what I had left to activate.

Playing as Desmond wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the HUD and mini-map being gone. I mean, I get that the point of them is that they're part of the Animus, but still, I dreaded each Desmond part as it came up, as I could get completely lost very quickly.

I'll be honest. I try not to get on the bad side of anyone wearing a power suit either.

I think you may be confused. Gamersgate.com has nothing to do with the #GamerGate hasthtag. Gamersgate.com sells digital PC games. I was lamenting the fact that the Gamersgate.com store people must not be happy with having such a similar name (which they had first, obviously).

I've recently wondered a lot if the good folks over at Gamersgate.com are feeling less than happy about the name they chose.

I would disagree that the RNG simply being in your favor is 'earning' anything.

Well, that and if images are pornographic or not. That's kind of important too.

Yeah, I heard one of his last books features nearly all of his protagonists meeting each other. So I'm not allowed to read that one until I've read all his others.

Well, the AI in The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A Heinlein acts as the leader of a revolution to gain independence for The Moon. That AI rather likes humanity, and only becomes the leader of the revolution because it sees the fight as just, and wants to help its friends. The AI joins the revolution relatively

Monsters or Atomic Supermen?

Well, thanks to Yannick's excellent review (and the deluge of other reviews echoing his sentiments), I am indeed playing Shadow of Mordor.

Well, when they released the Platinum Edition, it was probably just the next name that came to mind, and they also probably didn't yet anticipate having to do another edition.

I used to do that until Neverwinter Nights 2 released a Platinum Edition that contained an extra expansion that its Gold Edition didn't have, and then released a Diamond Edition that had even more modules.

So, uh, no chance for a black gay protagonist I'm guessing?
