I read some nice fan theories on how Blue is actually the evil twin, and Rouge is the good one. Most of it boils down to the fact that lots of NPCs won't join Blue's quest as companions, and he's not available as a companion in any of the other playthroughs. Meanwhile, Rouge will join any other character. Which at

Yep. The game had very, very little instruction. Red's playthrough was relatively linear, however, especially at the beginning, as you can only move to another town/planet when you've complete the objectives in that one.

This is actually only one of two RPGs where I bought the strategy guide (the other was Breath of Fire 2). Very helpful! The maps especially, as it was very easy to miss things with the art style that they used.

Actually, if you levelled like crazy, the game went in the other direction, as the critters would level with you (you'd face different, more powerful enemies instead of the ones you'd encounter when you started out), but the boss stats stayed the same.

Whew, this is a tough game. Man, when this game first came out, I couldn't even beat it with a Gameshark and cheats for infinite health (getting one-shotted still knocked a party member out, but a hit for less than their max hp wouldn't do anything).

From the linked article above:

These specific, localized requirements stem from the fact that GameStops are legally classified as pawn shops in certain areas because of the chain's trade-in program. This means that a given retail location is subject to the same state or city-specific regulations that other pawn shops in the area are held to.

Great, now Amazon will have to sue Samsung for infringement...

I watched this last night and all the interactions between the characters just look so... off. It must be the difference in art style between the Simpsons and Family Guy characters, because when they talk to each other, it feels like they're just talking to empty air.

As soon as I saw the preview of this post mentioning the Ghost Train, I knew the word 'suplex' was going to be in there.

So what's everyone's favorite part of the game? Mine is probably the early raid on the Imperial Magitek facility. I remember an incredible feeling of intensity the first time I played it, especially during the mine-cart escape battles and boss.

Well, if I recall correctly, in the original NA snes release (in which it was titled as FFIII), the instruction manual had a mini-strategy guide in it that stopped just after describing that battle.

Speaking of big burly men and Winnie the Pooh, fun fact: Jim Cummings, the current voice actor for Winnie the Pooh (and Tigger, actually) also did the voice of Minsc, in the Baldur's Gate games.

Well, the first wing is free, and since each boss drops its own card upon defeat, and each wing gives a card for its completion, you can get at least 4 of them (3 bosses in the wing I believe). Plus, if any of those bosses have class challenges associated with them, that will probably give you access to those ones too.

Only the first wing launches tomorrow. So we'll have several more weeks until he pops in.

I find it a little interesting that she knows who Pikachu is, but doesn't know Charizard, Lucario, or Greninja.

I've played Chrono Trigger many, times, but there are still some endings I've never gotten.

Chrono Trigger is generally considered to be one of the best RPGs ever made, but for some reason I've never quite fallen in love with it the way a lot of other people have. Maybe this is because I didn't grow up with the game... or maybe it's just not my type.

Looks like someone has angered the high court of mimes.
