I've considered this and it still doesn't make much sense to me. Especially going in without a proper warrant. Nothing they seize can be used as evidence due to the whole 'fruit from the poisoned tree' thing.
You have to remember Pokemon X and Y released during their last fiscal year, and even with their sales of 12 million copies they posted a half a billion loss. If they're going to do better this year, it won't be Pokemon that does the trick, unless they suddenly sell way more copies.
This situation is a little baffling. You would think that by the fourth visit, some warning bells would be ringing somewhere. We're talking about massive stupidity on so many levels.
You don't really have much more in the way of assurances with Early Access. You get something that is currently playable, but it's also a gamble that there will ever be another update or content addition.
Well I also believe that Greenlight is broken (just not for anything related to this game's controversy).
I agree delays are inevitable, but the system as it is doesn't even require estimated dates to be given.
Oh there are plenty of problems with Greenlight, that's for sure. No info about price, like you said, but even moreso, the fact that the system is utterly flooded by entries, since games that are in absolutely any state of development are allowed on.
I meant the Greenlight system, not the entire Steam Storefront. This situation does not demonstrate that Greenlight is broken (although it is broken in other ways, I'd argue).
I still really don't see this highlighting a flaw with Greenlight.
$500 million, and no PC version...
Interesting. I've got a standard dual-monitor setup and had no problems playing last night. However, I did play in a single 2.5 hour burst, and haven't launched the game a second time. I might not be so lucky tonight.
Here's hoping to the changes in the gameplay creating a less elitist atmosphere.
I never forgot Jack Johnson. It's John Jackson I have trouble remembering.
I can't find anything to corroborate what I thought, so you may be entirely correct.
Did they? I thought it was the opposite, that they'd confirmed their plan was for it to release by end of year. Given that they're already running an Alpha, it seems like it's on track.
Meh, this is probably going to be one of the more quiet ones, as far as announcements go anyway.
According to IMDB, the reboot is still fox-owned:

Spider-Man and the X-Men simply do not exist in the current Marvel movie/tv universe. Sony has the movie rights to Spider-Man, and Fox has the rights to the X-men (and Fantastic Four, for that matter).
My fondest memory has to be the moment when I discovered a cheat code in Kirby's Dream Land (one of my first game boy games).
