I can't help but think they would be really awkward to hold while they were split. I don't have a controller near me right now, but when you're holding it, isn't the fact that both hands are bracing the controller the only reason you can easily move your fingers about and hit the buttons?

Exactly. If the system was set up so poorly that 20 clicks to an ad could ban them from AdSense, it would have come out years ago. This is one of the first considerations that had to have come about when designing the thing, so it follows that it was.

I think we all agree token don't help, but as has been pointed out, there were several other recent conferences in this community that had much more diverse panelists/speakers. It certainly looks like there were lots of more diverse choices that would have been well received but were not even considered.
