It’s just a matter of that any time anyone wants to discount concerns of representation or using culture out of context, you can pretty much set your clock by the standard response of a white man linking to a white dude comedian explaining why they don’t have to care rather than actually engaging with what anyone else

Have you any proof that he hasn’t played the game?

And asking for something is not threatening.

???

There is nothing more tiresome than white dudes posting videos of white dude comedians to try to shore up their points especially when those white dude comedians are just ripping off Stephen Fry.

All they’re doing is expressing their concerns and criticism....which certainly is their right.

He seems to have expressed his concerns in a respectful way. Its not like he’s calling for their offices to be burnt down or something.

The whole studio has only existed for a few months. The game doesn’t even exist yet.

I’d imagine it was kept hallow to avoid certain weight issues.

The real problem is a lack of community and most adults assuming things aren’t their problem.

Hilariously their Rick just ended up looking like David Cronenberg, especially in that last shot.

Quite a bit of apples and oranges going on there.

The directors cut of Alien actually isn’t a directors cut for the record. It’s just an assembly cut that fox rereleased in 2004. And studio demanded cuts made to appeal to a wider audience are frequently a major problem. They are motivated by product concerns, not artistic ones. To keep with the Ridley Scott theme,

Just watch a movie then.

It’s not really about fear or suspense though. Super frequent deaths in horror game wouldn’t give time enough to build dread. With dark souls the frequency of death and the patience and focus needed to overcome obstacles is largely the point. It’s actually much closer to Mike Tyson’s punch out than silent hill.

If you don’t like games that you have to patient with then the game simply isn’t for you. Just like if someone doesn’t like real time strategy games or shooters or fighting games, those games just aren’t for them. Rarely do these games face demands that they be something else.

Did you miss the part where you can literally bring in multiple people to help you? The mechanics are what they are. They are generally considered well balanced. You either learn to make use of them or you don’t. The demand for acaccommodation by those simply disinterested in engaging with the game us exactly the
