No, incidents like this happen pretty often in Japan. You can’t go a month without seeing an article about some fucker running into a school and stabbing as many kids as he can. Sure all the guns in America make it easier, but psychos are going to find a way to hurt people regardless.

This isn’t the article I was expecting when I clicked on here. I was thinking it was going to be about Japanese tabletop RPGs and all the novels/anime/etc. that were inspired by them (such as Record of Lodoss War and Slayers), and then all the things those went on to inspire.

I feel like I’ve been on crazy pills the last two weeks after everyone has been shitting on King of the Monsters and now this, while I absolutely loved both. While Logan is no doubt the better film, this one was the first one to feel like I was watching one of the comics I grew up reading.

Personally I think it’s just because they didn’t grow up with the characters like a lot of the rest of the world did. While I was living there, the only American comics I could find in bookstores along side manga were translations of Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-men, and those were mainly because of the movies.…

With Wizards getting the rights back and the upcoming Cyberpunk video game, I imagine we’ll see Netrunner back around the same time since it was originally part of the Cyberpunk IP, and when FFG got it they changed it to Android.

I dip into Magic every 5 years or so and just started playing Arena instead of buying packs this time, and I’m having a pretty good time.
