Sick of that which MADE film what it was for a hundred years...

Yes! Exactly! Showscan was phenomenal, and a shining example of what may be accomplished with higher frame rates.

Read up on the actual, physical effects on the human brain from watching 24fps and 30fps (i.e., Beta waves from 24 and Alpha from 30, one excited, one relaxed) and see what television hath wrought and what we lose by not seeing films at their proper frame rates.

Precisely.

No, that has to do with wretched frame interpolation, which is simulating frames between actual 24fps for film or 30fps for video and producing a cheap, shoddy, unnecessary faux 60fps.

'Cultural critic' = immediate dismissal of any and all musings.

Obesity and electronic waste, our top two exports!

Or Mexicans, or Kiwis, or Aussies, or those in the UK...

Nah, I've no desire to indulge you in furthering your opinions in the matter.

"the actual editing sucks."

Not to nitpick, but these are not 'video' diaries...

Great to actually see you two in action!

Yawn...

Well, it's hard to say since you've associated the "Looper" teaser with the article instead of the time-lapse mentioned...

Bravo for Ms. Judd!

Precisely - I have no WiFi issues whatsoever and neither do any of my friends or family who purchased the new iPad. If the hardware in every device is the same, a 'software update' isn't going to make any difference at all.

Sure, 'cause that makes sense...

Meh.

I think Jon is speaking purely about the initial delivery date of the film that was eventually released in 2009, not the earlier iterations.
