I do remember the plot! Jesse from Breaking Bad, Young Howard Stark, some guy who winds up being Jesse’s brother all get into a race in Koenigseggs. Jesse’s bro dies in the race, Jesse gets framed for it, and he’s mad about it. Years later, Jesse comes upon the last Mustang that Shelby worked on (I don’t know how I…
Your bolded part was what really struck me. “Anchored around optional cosmetic items” is a really bad way to try to assure a fan that the game won’t be shoving microtransactions down their throat.
FULLY agree. The idea that "it's just cosmetics" makes it okay is bullshit. Cosmetics and making your character look cool are a HUGE part of gameplay and motivation. People spend ages playing the "fashion souls" subgame of From soft tabs, it's been joked about that the entire endgame of Warframe is making your…
Metal Gear Solid 1 demo was way better since it actually represented the game well. I don’t think I ever would have bought that game without the demo. I miss those days, where you could try something really outside your comfort zone and maybe fall in love with it.
It’s literally just a limited, two-hour trial of a full game. Like, you download said game, start playing, and two hours later are cut off. If developers want to offer a more crafted demo, they’re apparently welcome to, but this feature is being implemented on a system level. Consequently, it doesn’t impact…
Yeah I gotta disagree with James’ framing of Luke here as cold or uncaring when offering the choice. That isn’t the vibe I got at all.
Bingo. You’re not going to beat a month with Elden Ring and Dying Light 2 and Horizon: Forbidden West just because of quantity.
I think it’s sort of an apple to oranges comparison. There may be a larger quantity of games in March, sure, but the crazy thing about February was that all the games were batting at the same players. Elden Ring, Horizon, and Dying Light (and formerly Saint’s Row) were all AAA, open-world games with serious narratives…
I have been looking for an excuse to fire up Odyssey again. Bloat aside, probably my favorite AC next to Brotherhood and 2. Even with the bloat, every island felt like a new adventure and you ended up getting something from each one. Valhalla is just pure bloat and I don’t get any of that from it. I’ll keep going back…
Was it just the one time or was it a dual shock?
I really don’t like reviews based on what something isn’t. Review what it is and give an opinion on that. This review just glossed over what an incredible game it is and turned into a lament on what they wished the whole series had done differently.
:P
I mean, we’re talking about franchises that have been around for decades at this point, no? And all of them without really rebooting their universes so, at least with RE, the ten games + spinoff entries are obviously going to feel dense and hard-to-get-into because they’re all operating on the same narrative timeline.…
Someone forgets the Era of Lara Croft Nude Code
• PlayStation has always been a strong brand and is coming off a generation where it led the pack by a country mile. Interest in PlayStation hasn’t been this high since the transition from PSX to PlayStation 2.
I guess gamestops body wasnt ready for him.
This is why ME3 is my favorite of the three, it’s such an incredible and cathartic end to what the first two games built up despite not nailing the actual ending. The Genophage, Quarian Galactica, your crew (especially in the DLC), and the general indescribable mood of a nation (galaxy in this case) coming to grips…
That’s some Olympic level mental gymnastics you just did to somehow tie this to videogames lol.
