As much of a pain as it is, a white floor is great (assuming you can keep it mostly clean) for finding that bolt or small set screw you just dropped.

That is exactly the point. The cameras are the result of a lobby group for OEM suppliers, as it increases the price upfront, and makes it difficult to replace the radio.
