I have no doubt that a turbo 4 would be wonderful. Power, and bottom end torque. However I would have some serious issues with reliability long term. Its no big secret how well, er, or not small high strung engines with DI and turbos are holding up long term.

While it was my dad that really instilled a love of cars in me, it was my mom that taught me to drive a manual transmission. Originally that was so I could drive the assorted farm trucks my grandfather had and earn money, but it has paid many enthusiast dividends over the years.

She hated automatics so she taught me to drive in a manual, so that was a great contribution.
