I respect law enforcement, but law enforcement doesn’t respect itself.
You’re for 5-point harnesses because you want drivers to suffer basalar skull fracture before their head gets anywhere near the airbag?
MLB exploits the Dominican Republic without giving back anything. Cowherd points out that Dominicans have the worst education system (nearly) on earth; therefore, baseball can’t be that academically taxing.
Damn. She just needs an oversized set of truck nuts dangling from the trailer hitch.
Diamondbacks suck, and MLB sucks generally, because players/managers don’t remember how to play hardball anymore. You don’t exact revenge by giving the other team free baserunners. You take 10-15 off your fastball and throw knock-down pitches and chin music. Then follow up with a breaking pitch that starts at the…
No engines available for a 1200lb car. Even the Smart Fortwo and Scion iQ weigh 1800lbs and 2,000lbs. They had to build their own to reach the 84mpg promised.
Kids these days. Whatever happened to making cooler friends?
Relieved to know I’m not the only person who thought these were the dumbest ads in the history of capitalism.
That’s fine. There are many different ways to spend money on productivity. You need to figure out how to clawback 25% of the budget from SS and MED and the debt servicing costs they have created. Good luck.
The people who belly-ache about income inequality are the one’s who think working married women are a travesty, and they attempt to tax away the benefits of their labor. I’m not complaining about income inequality, and I wouldn’t try to fix it with an assualt on new household income contributions from women. I’d stop…
The discussion was about the effects of trickle-down. You’re having a separate discussion about what it takes for uneducated people to acheive median income. These two conversations are not related.
I understand your personal feelings. I also worked for a military contractor, and it did little to engender confidence in the military industrial complex. Howerver, economic data is what it is. As the military has been cut, the middle class has sagged. Fewer soldiers are pushed to acquire engineering and healthcare…
I just explained. Imagine the single-income male-breadwinner household of the 1950s. Now pay his wife a salary equal to his own. Income growth in the top 10% explodes. The top 50% see modest gains. The bottom 50% get hammered by international competition, FICA taxes, and single income tax brackets.
I’m not sure what sort of dystopian tale you’re attempting to peddle, but it isn’t borne out in the data. The top households are most dual income married. Lower households are generally single, one-income households.
Weird thing about Yankees is that most of them live in a place as white as Europe, yet they all claim to be masters of racial equality and integration. Presumptious would be a euphemism.
The military, America’s biggest jobs, STEM, and R&D program, has already been cut in half since the 1970s. Do you suppose that might be part of our problem?
Surely you can do better?
Trickle down did actually trickle down. The benefits are not immediately evident because the FICA tax threshhold was raised from 100% median income to 200% median income, and the emergence of dual income families, which are actually two solidly middle class people with huge household incomes, not one filthy rich…
