Technically you could cast the singer Neyo in the role.  His dad is Afro Amer., and his mom is Chinese/Afro Amer. as well.  Whether or not Neyo can act is a whole other question.

At about 31sec there’s a portrait painting of Otto Octavius Sr.  That’s such a nice little easter egg considering how fast it goes by.  If you blink you’d totally miss it.
