Y`all ever just want to shut down the internet for a few years to slow things like this down?

We’re past the point where that would do any good. Shutting off millions of people’s instant access to porn would cause chaos. A generation of teens know nothing else.

Y`all ever just want to shut down the internet for a few years to slow things like this down? Go back to the time when your batshit crazy aunt/uncle ran off to the woods because no one believes the crazy nonsense they spout off about?

They fucked up so bad, Trek without birds of prey and proper Klingons is lame. What a clusterfuck the first part of Disco is, but it won’t end they have established that the Klingons are like that so if they come up again they will continue to suck.

Still waiting for him to play young Gowron though, he’s got the eyes for it.

I’m excited for Trek without F-bombs or on screen torture & mutilation.

Yeah but: here’s a documentary about “a small avalanche that killed some jamokes” is harder sell than a spoooooky mystery.

Look, are you sure you don’t want to go across the cinemaplex and sneak into another movie? Because the Force tells me this might be the last movie you see in theaters for a looooooooong time and you are not going to like it...”

The Force Awakens: “I am Supreme Leader Snoke, the new big bad. Don’t you want to know everything about me?”

Oh wow, fancy seeing you here! Goddamn, I miss when you and Annalee ran this place. But then we might not have got your amazing books, and that'd be worse.

EV ALL THE TRUCKS YOU COWARDS

Maverick Lightning would have to be full EV based on the new F150 lightning.  Also, that would be badass.

I want a Maverick Lightning.  If EV’s aren’t the perfect way to bring back small trucks, I don’t know what is.

The seeds are already planted in the books to a degree that Dany will not be the fabled protector everyone is expecting. She’s naive, thrust into being a ruler too quickly (in Mereen) and is just overall proving to be kind of a shitty leader.

I like District 9 AND Elysium *shrug*

Whilst out and about today, I happened across a small (maybe 20 people) gathering of anti-vax\anti-mask protesters. Their signs ranged from a Taylor-Greeneesque assertion that any safety guidelines = a New Holocaust to we’re all guinea pigs for Big Vax to the Chinese are trying to destroy us with a virus that also is

Yeah, no. Sorry but these people shouldn’t be allowed back on the streets in any capacity.

Part of the problem, I think, was that I just didn’t CARE about the characters. I wasn’t invested like I had been with, say, Fafhrd & the Grey Mouser, Corwin of Amber, or Garion in the Belgariad. Any one of which are in a series I’d much rather watch than this.

I tried to read the first book back in the early ‘90s and gave up after a couple of hundred pages. It just seemed like the most generic, “Hey, let’s turn my old D&D campaign into a novel!” style of boilerplate epic fantasy writing. The sort of thing that hits you over the head from the start with a lot of made-up

Hopefully the series will get most of the way through, then the showrunners will leave and it will be finished by a completely different set of showrunners, to stay consistent with the books.
Also, having read this series over the course of 20 years, my tastes from when I read the first book, to when I spitefully
