I just hope they make it dark and gritty because dark and gritty makes all the rebootes darker and grittier.

"Ugh! Why am I sitting here being told a story?! It's literally been minutes since something exploded!"
Actually, Sagan was NOT above criticizing the Church and blind adherence to mysticism when it was warranted. The segment on Hypatia in the original Cosmos parallels the segment on Bruno in the new Cosmos. Its hard to miss the contempt in Sagan's tone when he talks about how Cyril went on to be canonized despite the…
The Zim-Zam and the Babbity-Bibbity
Maybe it was like this throughout history and I just wasn't aware of it, but it seems like now (more than when I was young) people HAVE to plant their flag somewhere and defend it violently with just about every topic. I've seen extremely heated arguments about In-and-Out vs. Five Guys vs. Whattaburger that were as…
I love this Sagan quote - the essence of ignosticism - before asking whether God exists, you have to establish the parameters of the God you're trying to prove or disprove. That's what I believe.

In addition to a LOT of double sided tape, there's probably a "boob wrangler" on-set to help her put them back in place after every action scene.
The title should be Nasa photos that Gravity used as reference material. Seeing as Nasa actually went there and gravity just faked it.

The Majestic. I don't care what people say, if that movie had come out during the hyper-patriotism of 2003-2005, it would've been huge. Instead it came out in December of 2001, when people were still too busy reeling from 9/11 to appreciate the 1950's Red Scare/modern-day "You're-with-us-or-against-us" parallel.
This film never got the attention it deserved.
Neither did this:
If they made this now but with computer generated animation it would be a fucking license to print money.
Unappreciated when it was released, but is something of a cult hit since. It was far too ambitious for the audiences of the time. But it's one of my favourite films.
Name: Speed Racer
Title: Tron
There will forever only be one TV's Flash:
I think "Better to be continually bitch-slapped by the universe because you're presumptuous than to stop searching because your mouth hurts," might be my favorite philosophy on science - no, on life.
