I recommend everyone vote in person. It’s not that hard to wear a mask and go during the 2 week early voting period, when lines are short or nonexistent. With Trump and his cronies tampering with the mail and trying to slow it down, I wouldn’t trust my ballot in the mail would get counted.

You’d be surprised how many engineers with masters degrees are moon landing deniers, 9/11 truthers, and alien pyramid weirdos. Being knowledgable in one area doesn’t prevent someone from being very gullible or ignorant in other areas of life.

However at a certain point, if someone is a repeat offender of violent crimes, then it would be immoral to ignore their past crimes and allow them out early to possibly victimize someone else.
