The problem with retreating away from "man dominated environments" is that ultimately is self-segregation, and anyone who knows anything should be able to tell you that equality cannot be achieved while one group is segregated from the other. It might make sense on a micro level, but it's damaging on a macro level.

This is one of few posts I've seen on jezebel specifically about and seriously addressing men's issues unironically. The post opens with a commentary about how some men say "what about the men" in feminist discussions and it is made clear that this is the space for that discussion.

Identifying a person as genderqueer is not enough to clear up pronoun usage. If anything, it only makes it less clear which pronoun should be used. It could easily go toward "he", "she", singular "they", or even any number of unique, invented pronouns.

Who said anything about women should be expected to take a backseat to men in the case of feminism?

There's a big difference between casting a Black lead and casting a middle-eastern lead. Some Black actors have proven themselves to have enough appeal to overcome racist audiences, but I can't think of a single middle-eastern actor who has done the same.

Artists have to make compromises for their vision. I can understand your argument and it is reasonable way of thinking about it, but I don't think it's fair for you to say that an artist HAS TO make those particular compromises to their vision.
