A retraction will perhaps save a lot of rain-dancing according to International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature rules. Its description as an archosaur is retracted and thus the synonym doesn’t have to be listed in any systematic revue of the species. 

Well not with that attitude it won’t.

I don’t think anyone is thinking that fusion can “save us” any more than some might believe that putting human beings on Mars can “save us”. Let’s look at it realistically.

I mean, that’s assuming that he had viable images with no satellites. If they were long-exposure and there was a lot of satellite activity (and they do look like very long exposure images), that might not be the case.
