If the car has a heads-up display, the windshield is probably polarized and unavailable as an aftermarket part. This forces the purchase of a genuine Alfa Romeo windshield which is going to cost more. The windshield of my E60 BMW 535i was $1200 because of this. No HUD and the cost drops to $400.

Meh.

There could be several things going on with this paint as there are many formulations that do different things. Traditional paint flow visualization is as several people already explained but there also exists temperature-sensitive (TSP) and pressure-sensetive paints (PSP). PSPs can also be further divided into

What needs to be taught in Driver’s Education is a simple philosophy that would serve in many situations: “DO NOT IMPEDE THE PROGRESS OF OTHERS”. It works for lane etiquette, merging situations, keeping THAT guy from letting someone out of the parking lot who wants to cross three lanes of traffic to get to a left

As a Howerton, I approve of this post.

Casey Kia in Newport News, VA just got one in. Saw it yesterday. The GM of the store is a neighbor. Maybe I should ask for a test drive............

By no means was he getting smoked by the 599 driver.

My friends and I were in Monterey for the BMWCCA Oktoberfest celebrating their 100 Jahre anniversary. Having just met the head of BMW Classic during the unveiling of Elvis’ restored 507, we proceeded to get into a fight over the pronunciation of his name: Georg. They were convinced I was full of crap when I told them

It’s not pointless. You just have to apply science. Take a look at this:

I’ve had two BS traffic stops in my life. One happened 30 years ago when I was in high school and the other just a few months ago. So here they are in chronological order:

I could have used a dashcam\datalogger last year when I was pulled over and falsely accused by a state trooper of reckless driving. His radar reading was 20 mph higher than my true speed and no amount of polite protest was going to convince him otherwise.

I was not a fan of Bangle when his BMW’s first came out. At the time, the E39 M5 was the epitome of cool for me and the want was very strong. His designs were so very different from what I thought a BMW should look like and I was convinced it was a huge misstep for the brand. Now, I regularly look through the listings

My 48G is still working 25 years later. That thing was $200 back in 1990!

I don’t know about this car, but if you want an E39 M5 wagon, this is the car to buy if he ever decides to let it go:

Nice write-up on the computer/UI tech. Now, I have another question regarding architecture of the Empire: Why do all their military bases have these unsecured ladder-type contrivances that let the Rebels/Resistance just climb up and infiltrate at will? I’m talking about the one Jyn used to get to the platform her

It would help if the image would upload!

Are you sure? At some point, they switched to a chain with a master link so you could roll in a new chain without taking everything apart. Now if your chain guides are worn out, those will have to be replaced as well, but even that can be done without removing the engine.

I’m noting a great resemblance to Satch Carlson, editor of the BMWCCA Roundel magazine and former Autoweek columnist.
