As the previous owner of four Saabs, I absolutely agree. GM should have kept them around just to see what they’d invent next.
A little background on the use of human computers:
Having just helped a friend find an E36 M3 (see you at the BMWCCA Oktoberfest!), there are a few things to find out first:
I was driving between Venice and Lake Como on the autostrada in a Fiat Cinquecento doing about 85mph when the overhead signs warned of upcoming construction and a closure of the fast lane 14km ahead. As we got closer, the feelings of dread grew as I anticipated the backup I knew was going to happen at any moment.…
This year, the featured marque is BMW since it is their centennial so enjoy Car Week, but stay the week after for the BMWCCA Oktoberfest. It’s a great time with some amazing people! (celebratebmw.com).
Re-read your headline. You can’t spell. Here’s a list and your word isn’t on it:
Paraphrasing Darrell Waltrip: “That car is all ate up with motor!”
I’ve been a car guy since the ‘80's when I started reading back copies of Car & Driver from my junior high school library, but it wasn’t until 2008 that I drove my first BMW. My dad had a used car dealership for over 40 years so I got to see/drive all sorts of cars. This picture brought back fond memories of the 1981 280ZX Turbo he had for a while when I was in high school. Two-tone blue/silver with T-tops. Ahhhh. Nothing improves a band geek’s cred like being picked up in one of those…
He thinks it’s serious but anyone with any technical training thinks it’s a joke.
Those are off-the-shelf model rockets. I know I’ve seen that kit somewhere.
Well, to build the ‘motor’ for this plane, they had to get help from GE.
For Saab 9000’s, the joke was that the factory hung the heater core on a hook and built the rest of the car around it. Saab 9-5 fan speed controllers are a 9 hr job with you upside down in both footwells routing the sensor wire harness that connects to it. The part is only $100.
