Amen. I just busted a gut laughing.

I always liked the rodeo even if they did terrify me by doing indoor fireworks at the Astrodome.

Yes but peppermint Joe Joes are the most delicious cookie ever. They are so much better than Oreos. I stock up on boxes just so I can eat them into March.

And the HP series as a whole has sold over 450 million through Bloomsbury and Scholastic alone. I'm not even sure that's worldwide. Also it was JUST released as ebooks a year ago.

"I'll be in my bunk."

I'm pretty sure he only said Thin Mints because that is a) the box with the MOST cookies and b) the lowest calorie cookies so he can just eat more of them at one time without feeling guilty.

Except me saying to a friend in hearing distance of a cop, "I'm going to shoot my boss in the face," is not actually considered a crime I don't think. Threatening the President or his family is a class D felony.

I think these rumors stick more because so many people have died in simple ski accidents. Sonny Bono (because of trees) and Kennedy (because playing football while on skis is always a brilliant decision) and Natasha Richardson (who just fell down on a bunny slope – this is the scariest one to me. I can avoid a tree

See I always thought George was old but then I realized he was only like 18 when he's first introduced which is obviously NOT OLD. That is quite an age gap when you're in your early teens though and 8 years is more than half your life.

It took me approximately six reads before I started remembering that Duke of Naxen has a nasal sounding voice and is actually quite thin and missing a finger. Sometimes in my reading I just graze right over details. And I'll not discuss how at 13 I thought any character above 15 was "old"

I too have found it kind of difficult to find decent adult fantasy but then I prefer my fantasy reads to be light and fluffy and find that most adult fantasy is pretty epic feeling. I worry about getting sucked into a series that is 12 books long with an aging author who can't seem to wrap up his story and each book

Okay, so I had to look it up because you made me seriously question my memory and I have reread that series every year for 14 years. Thom wears a riding skirt which is enough for me to call it dressing up as Alanna. Anyway, I have less to discuss about this book and more to discuss about the later books in the series.

Hivemind at work! The answer is, it does exist but as gay romance novels. Which is typical as this is an obvious romance novel set up. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2633062-tangled-web

The Alanna series was and remains one of my favorite series of all time. It was total gateway fantasy/scifi for me. Now teen shelves are full of scifi/fantasy/dystopian reads and I can't remember if it was always that way or if I'm only just noticing it.

I can't find any. I have lost my Google-fu. I'll let the hive-mind do the work.

Well, TECHNICALLY, when they leave Trebond he is dressed as his sister, but only to fool Coram. #obsessed

Darrell Hammond played Sean Connery in SNL's Celebrity Jeopardy sketches. Will Farrell was Alex Trebek. #corrections

Seriously. Best. Book. Ever.

I figured this was just a way to start playing the penis game without anyone questioning why.

FULL OF RAGE! Can we get a made for TV movie where they go to the Olympics? And maybe Emily shows up?
