For me, it’s rain sensing wipers. Having to fiddle with the wiper stalk as rainfall changes is one of the most annoying tasks when driving. Rain sensing wipers removes that and lets me focus on other critical aspects of driving. Even poorly executed systems are better than having to manually change wiper speed.
any truck.
I live in rural mountain community and we all have to drive 100+ miles up/down canyon to go to anything more than Albertsons. Yet, most trucks have expensive lift kits that make their fuel economy tank and then compound that lack of fuel economy by excessive speeding in canyon. They also have to have modified trailer…
I’ll never forget getting a ride home from a friend in early 90s who had a truck that was lowered so much that he couldn't drive thru my apartment complex over the speed bumps.
Especially if the modded suspension doesn’t result in a good performance change that is actually used.
Including lifts.
Also, believe it or not, any Hummer that is owned by an actual government military agency.
I was coming here to post that.
The Nissan Altima is the obvious answer, but there’s another that I’ve observed in my commute: Dodge Chargers. They’re getting up there in years and don’t hold value. As a result, they’re landing in buy-here pay-here lots and being snatched up by idiots.
Any Hummer that isn’t owned by an actual government military agency.
AND then you can charge customers 500$ when the part invariably breaks and there’s no cheaper alternative. Gotta love that forced premium.
Pixel headlight functionality aside, that’s crazy that you can just enable adaptive cruise and Pilot Assist. So was it cheaper to just go ahead and install the radar sensor into all cars whether they got the function or not?
If most OEM’s implementation of basic Automatic Highbeams is utter shit, I don’t have much hope for Pixel bullshit. Honestly, I’d rather see European taillights than European headlights. All red rear turn signals should be illegal here in the US.
There’s a big difference in enjoyability between a car that can almost achieve one-pedal driving and a car that actually can. Personally I love it, but I understand why some don’t — regardless, I wish it was an option on every EV. For every car that offers it, you can turn it off completely or sometimes choose a…
When I owned a Mustang GT, I absolutely adored it on the open road, but stuck in traffic, or idling around a city, just felt like a waste and also abusive to the engine and clutch. An EV mode for silent and easily motoring around would be welcome.
that said a lincoln version with a 3L v6 TT and a 30 mile plug in hybrid might be epic.
I’m going to carry a ham with me at all times.
I know a foolproof way to avoid this problem.
It means it’s so close to something that it doesn’t really make a difference. Think $9.99 as opposed to $10 - near as makes no difference.
