Our “justice” system needs serious reform. Mandatory sentences need to go as well as jail time for non-victim crimes.

The part that is most frustrating to me is that over half of this bill has nothing to do with covid relief. If covid was the priority, couldn’t they find some piece of pork to cut?

I wish we could go back in time and rethink educational finance. I’m afraid easy access to student loans have given institutions license to increase the cost of education at multiples of inflation year over year.

Companies are so short-sighted. Krispy Cream could have turned this into a social media win.  Why do they really care that someone does this?

Was there any notification to users that Nord had a security breach? It kind of pisses me off that I’ve been using them for the past couple of years and this is the first I’d heard of the breaches.

One of the very, very few good things about living in Nebraska is the Niobrara river valley. I was camping there in July. It’s in one of the shaded areas of this map and the night sky is utterly awesome.

It’s a worthy goal to hit the zero mark, but it’s very hard to do. The tax code is too complex. If you work on commission, get a performance bonus once a year or you invest it’s practically impossible to get to zero.  I’m happy if I’m within a couple of hundred either way.

Because that wasn’t his motive here. He could have used his celebrity to bring to light true cases of racism and homophobia. He didn’t have to stage fake mail pieces and attacks.  That sets back the cause, doesn’t further it. 

Accept that doesn’t appear to have been his motive. If it were, there are better, non-criminal ways to work toward that end.
