It’s funny, in their latter days Oldsmobiles were watchwords for generic, uninteresting design, but that broad, simplistic styling has made them age into pretty solid examples of 90s/early aughts design. I like this.

You asked for it, you got it.

Who could ask for anything more?  TOYOTA!!!

Hotshot I thought was a diesel pickup truck and often with a trailer for expedited shipping etc, and requires DOT inspection and are almost always insured. If I recall that correctly, then I am thinking it’s unlikely to be a hotshot driver just due to the paperwork and start up costs. I guess the person could just be

Now playing

We did a road trip up to the wine country in a diesel Rabbit truck. 450 pounds of passengers up front and 180 pounds of German Shepherds in crates in the shell on back. Gave the 18 wheelers a run for their money over the Grapevine. 50 mpg for the trip.

My family had a Sirocco of similar vintage, and we got rear-ended at speed by a pickup truck at an intersection, and we came out with barely a scratch. The liftback itself folded up like an accordion, but the truck did not manage to intrude into the passenger cabin. That’s anecdotal, and I’m not going to pretend these

It’s important to note that they weren’t told which candidate they were campaigning for until after they were hired.

I am shocked, just SHOCKED that something like this would happen to people who work on behalf of Donald Trump and for Elmo. Two of the finest human beings the world has ever produced.

Goes to work for Elmo, representing King Cheeto and has a sub-par experience?

As much as I want to say these people got what they deserved, I know that at least some of them were just doing whatever they could to earn a buck.

No no no no no no no. Down here in the Sixth Borough of New York, also known as Palm Beach County, Sinatra and Sansabelt slacks slide in easy like bagels ’n’ lox.

I am a cultured snow bird from New Jersey, thank you very much, and it will be Old Blue Eyes.

Well hitch up my belt, get me in the left lane on a Florida highway doing 50 with my left blinker on and pop some Sinatra in the 8-track, I have an early bird special dinner to get to.

Oh Hell No. Someone else’s modified and likely pre-beat Mustang for waaay too much money. Nope, nope, nope.

That sounds like a miserable car to drive, plus you know it’s been driven hard, and who knows what else it’s been through. ND for each and every one of those reasons.

Where is he moving that a truck and only a truck is the only option? The remote Andes? Seems like you could still have the race car and a beater truck for when the weather is bad...

...unless you know your “race car” is starting to fall apart because of janky mods.

ND on somebody else’s project.

My thoughts on the manual were similar. Like the older Merc SLs I keep eyeing, the manual is arguably the worse transmission for the car, but that doesn’t stop me from really really wanting one. But I’m not paying this kind of premium for one when I can get an automatic with more cylinders. So ND from me.

Arguably an automatic suits the nature of this car better, as it is more of a boulevard cruiser than a sports car, but certainly unique enough that it adds value for someone who really wants a manual XJ-S.

Are we going to talk about this?

Something smells fishy in this case.
