I can’t answer this in empirical terms; only in anecdotal ones.

Time is money for this savvy seller; offer him $4000
*shrug* I like it. It isn’t a bog standard Eldorado, the conversion looks very well thought out, even in the interior with the roof liner, and surprisingly, also with the top up, it looks true to the original. Only thing I wish that was done differently was the tonneau cover-this one has a more polished look to it:
He doesn’t have time to double his money? Naw, people who can afford to drop $8600 to save a bit of time to arrange shipment to Mecum aren’t advertising on Craigslist either.
“Posh Sebring” is just a chef’s kiss description of this automobile.
The seller doesn’t have time to auction the car off and get twice as much for it? Bullshit. I don’t think it would even hit the current asking price at auction. This is a tacky, malaise-esque boat with a problem child engine crammed in the front so tightly that I don’t think you could slip an index card between it…
Also, the seller is absolutely delusional. From the ad:
I can definitely see Herb Tarlek driving this.
It’s a nicely done conversion. The problem is that era of Caddy lacks the presence of a proper Cadillac and comes off as a really posh Sebring. Nice Try, ND.
I think I’m allergic to these puns, I’m breaking out in hives.
This movie might lead to CCD (cinema collapse disorder)!
God these pun threads just drone on and on...
“If you’re looking for some wind beneath your wings and have pollen-ty of patience, well honey, this mindless action flick packs enough sting to keep you buzzing. Also, thorax.”
That much for an old 200,000+ mile truck and the bondo-bed? No way. Solid ND.
You check prices and the dude ain’t that far off for what he’s asking:
Jay Leno collects Duesenbergs. Many collect Italian exotics, corvettes, hot rods, british sportscars...
Some all season/all weather tires are actually good... such as the General Altimax RT43/RT45.
The question I have is how the New York Times editors read the piece and thought yeah sure let’s publish.
I think there’s a difference between “filler” episodes and “stand-alone” episodes. I’m sure which is which is in the eye of the beholder, but the former, to me, is when it seems obvious that this episode is just to pad out the episode count, while the latter is focused on fleshing out the world and the characters.
See, for prestige shows, I think 13 episode seasons were perfect. Look at The Sopranos and Mad Men; they had overarching plots for a season but also each episode stood on its own as a self-contained story. The self-contained stories could focus somewhat on other characters, and that space made it not go-go-go all…
