This is a complicated thing to really put a number on but I feel like less then 3 years in prison for giving a child booze and weed and then sexually abusing them just seems like not enough time for a repeat offender.  Our system is fucked up and there are to many people in jail and they are not getting any real help

He is currently still in jail after a judge denied his bail back in August.

This sounds like a person who will never be a productive member of society and is, in fact, a major threat to the safety of others. He should be locked up for life with no probation.

Fast and reliable? Then why is it languishing in the woods with the battery disconnected and the general appearance of it having been there for awhile? At least it looks like the Ford emblem is there, just in the center console instead of on the nose. As has been said, this is the finished, polished, complete and

What the hell, she had to pay the speeding fine of the thieves who stole her car!?

How exactly do you know that said cars were “polluting shit boxes that aren’t fit to be on the road”???

I saw a couple episodes of Parking Wars, which was pretty much based on what a nightmare getting your car out of impound is.

Every day a male of some young age discovers the idea that things thrown from bridges get more dangerous & they can’t resist doing it plus bragging to their friends that they do it.

I obviously don’t know, but this is usually where one is the one that comes up with the plan and is the one that wants to do it and the others are just following along. Not saying that doesn’t make them responsible, just saying that most likely one was the psycho and the other two just too dumb to realize the idiocy

homeless are an easy target. They dont vote, NIMBYs hate them, and a majority associates them with crime and drug use. It’s punching down and its easier than fighting landlord groups. disgusting, but god forbid someone got help. The government is only there to punish apparently

I’ll echo a basic question here:  Why is the focus not on issues causing homelessness in the area?  If these folks are kicked out of the “vans”, then do they just get pushed to the street because no other roof is available to them?

There is a HUGE collection of RVs parked down the sides of the road near a Home Depot near us in Oakland. The biggest issue I see with these are fire risks. Every 3-45 months one of them catches on fire and tears through the whole lot of them. So to me the bigger issue is their safety.

Well, this is quickly approaching a critique of libertarian thinking in general, but I’d guess the population in question - otherwise unhoused people who can’t get a typical apartment - are more vulnerable than average to exploitation.

Vehicles of unknown reliability or habitability, rented at unknown rates under unknown terms, with no specific protections or recourse for the renter if something happens to the vehicle or if the situation otherwise changes, is something I’d 100% call a grift.

Yeah it didn’t have a 4-low range, but first gear was a non-syncronized granny gear. Dad and I used to pull logs around with it at our cabin. The official accessory catalog included bull bars and a snow plow! The tires that were on it new were proper off road tires, they made that ‘hummmmmm’ on the highway. I grew up

This was absolutely THE car to have in AK when it was new and gas was heading up towards $1 a gallon from the 70 cents a gallon it had cost for years. These little bastards will go through the snow like a husky and aren’t much bigger than a dogsled themselves. It’s pretty much the car that established the brand in the

“Good afternoon, Floridaman Insurance. How can I help you today?”

Oh no it does not. At all. The easist place to see alligators around here are golf courses. There are alligators in pretty much every single water hazard. When I first moved there I lived in a gated community on a golf course. I could sit on the lanai and watch the two local ‘gators around the 4th green pretty much

Now he’s underwater on that car twice.  Hey-o!

That’s the thing; I get that this is one year only, has a stick, and the big V8. But he’s pricing it as if it’s mostly restored “and the price will go higher as it gets restored”?
