I completely agree - this was such a weird event that I don’t see any particular reaction being necessary. To have the access, knowledge, and level of sheer crazy to do this is nearly a one off.

I was the same way with Hostess Fruit Pies, the chocolate pudding one to be exact.  I ate one when I was probably 15 or so, I’m 42, and I couldn’t even so much as look at one for more than a decade.  Ate one and puked hard like an hour later lol.  The whole incubation time is the real bugger.  Since it’s typically 12+

Ugh, talk about bastardization of the word “classic”....

Similar experience growing up, mine with Cheetos.

report that the sandwich made some people sick”

In Texas freedom means “be exactly like me or I’ll kill you”.

Head gaskets are a 3.8L problem, packaging constraints lead to the rear cylinder head getting and staying warmer than the rest of the engine, causing the older non-MLS head gaskets to degrade.

I read a fascinating book on the jellybean Taurus. It describes all the compromises and conflicts that went into it. Unironically, the book is literally named “Car”.

This is the point I’ve tried to explain to people when I had my transmission replaced in my 08 Escape. Bought the truck on CPO 11 years ago with 34k on it, and about to turn 150k now. Trans went out last Sept., and I got it replaced for around $2k. Friends were like “oh, it’s going into major repairs now/it will

Blowouts are terrifying! I can't imagine the split second of time you have to make a device at 300

It looks like the pyrotechnics are a few hundred feet away from the runway, in the grass between the crowd and the runway.

Probably did, but I was in my mid-20's at the time, and too soft to call and throw a fit. I just kind of dealt with it and fixed it myself.  I had bought cars previously at this place, and always had the same F&I guy, and i always turned down warranties. Guess back then I never thought about not being offered one,

Where to start? Why not at a local Ford store, where 100% of my “worst dealer stories ever” take place (the one below is the most egregious of 4 or 5... but the fact that I have 4 or 5, out of thousands of dealership interactions & dozens of cars purchased over 25 years and ALL OF THEM are at Ford stores is saying

I think they would just say it sold for $17,790.

Former car salesman here. Can confirm.

My wife and I walked into our local Kia dealership about 4 years ago to look at. Used Kia Sorento (or something) they they had listed for $17,790. My wife’s car was on its last legs and we needed to replace it.

Just looked in Germany. I looked for 5 minutes and found a little gem.

Worst dealership experience? I worked for one for almost 12 years (internet sales, then an upper management position in the internet/tech team).

This car was loved by its American owner, but not in a good way. That “phat exhaust tip and trailer hitch in the back,” paired with the lowered suspension, aftermarket tires and battle-worn steering wheel are all red flags. Save your money

Now “led” by a madman more psychotic that Stalin.”
