Unfortunately, thanks in part to a litiphobic unwillingness to give bad references, and people’s inherent willingness to forgive, those who seemingly don’t belong in the schools do have some ability to reinvent themselves, though they might have to travel a bit further than just the next town over.
You are right, and let me take it a little further and say that function-driven design logic points strongly to a van, not a pickup truck. Chevy made a good candidate, and I wonder what gas mileage would be like compared to making that overburdened little S-10 do its all, all the time.
It was a crappy name in the past
NP for someone who knows and loves these cars... and who could make good use of it as a parts car if the tinworm turns out to be invincible. ND for the population at large or maybe even a differently oriented enthusiast.
Oooh, and the sovereign citizens! Send them out to sea, tell them they’re truely free of the gov’t!
One theory:
This feels like the beginning of an 80s action movie, where they turn this thing into a floating supermax prison.
There have also been a variety of proposals in San Francisco over the years for using weary or otherwise uncompetitive cruise ships (they are not in short supply) as homeless shelters.
Yeah, seeing on the San Francisco cityfront from across the Bay, today’s bigger cruise ships quite literally look as though one of the larger skyscrapers had been laid down horizontally.
That color needs to be on many, many more things.

Took the words out of my mouth. Is this track only, or is there some low-production loophole in the pedestrian safety standards, or what? It looks like a prop from a crossover between the Batman and Saw franchises.
It’s Mike who could give you a rude shock. The cars he favors are competent but in an under-the-radar manner. A Marauder seems more than a little too overtly badass for him.
Well, that’s doubtless there as an eyeball magnet (and of course at this point a Vega whose engine doesn’t burn as much oil as it does gasoline, and whose body doesn’t turn into a giant cloud of rust particles like a puffball mushroom when you kick a tire, is more an accessible collector car than a daily driver). But…
Upholding a proud Craigslist tradition, he had me at “SUPER RARE”. </s>
If I’m not mistaken, J.R.R. Tolkien himself wrote that he had no idea what Tom Bombadil was or how he fit into the greater scheme of things, but thought he was too good a character to leave out. (Which didn’t stop the authors of the affectionate and very knowing parody Bored of the Rings from having a great time…
Aside from the racism, what do the police have to say about the theft? The pumps and register are probably well covered by security cameras, and if she paid with plastic, there’s also an electronic transaction record — shouldn’t be hard to investigate and, presumably, prove the allegation that he was filling up his…
The agricultural area is used to a few pieces of fruit and veggies flying on the roadway, it’s almost unavoidable
Something I’ve long wondered: What was Italian cooking like before the Columbian Exchange? (And, as SNL-LOL points out, before Marco Polo et al.)? Greek food, only, uh, further west?
