The value of games and what they give back to you when you have a PS+ subscription outweighs that. In 1 year of being a PS+ member, you could have acquired 80+ games at $50; not to mention the instant game collection of 8-10 games; that rotate every month but as long as you have the subscription, you can play them…

Because somehow, it isn't a big deal due to the fact that it's a bigger deal if you AREN'T already a PS+ Subscriber due to the incredible value they give you back!....... That's probably why.
