Many other countries have street cameras and are able to monitor activity, and a base can send out a nearby patrolling unit. I would think, that option is faster than just toting an app.

I prefer somewhere between 8GB and 16GB of multiple cards. Reason being is that if something were to happen to that 32GB card, it would be a huge loss. With lower capacity it is spread out...

I use GIMP. And when whitening teeth, I just use the Quick Mask to select the teeth, make small modification in the Color Balance (to take away the yellow), and finally change the Level to brighten them up. Presto!

In the countries I have been to, they tend to have a kiosk of some sort from a mobile service provider within the airport.

I would think that the phone would obey the PRL (Preferred Roaming List) and choose its CDMA networks first, then when none are found it would switch to GSM/WCDMA mode and search for those type of networks.

iPhone does this, though you have to check after the call.
