Non-sarcastically, did you see the movie? The vamps weren’t just stand-ins for zombies, it was a legit vamp movie. Not that I loved it, but worth watching if you want to try something new.

Completely agree with Thane. There’s definitely the conspiracy that runs through all of the stories (3 books, I think 6-8 novellas), but damn, amazing writing, and there is a lot of focus on how the world works now that there are zombies.
