It at least counts in Xenosaga's favor that people can hold meaningful discussions about its lore. I can't say the same of Kingdom Hearts.

This is a good idea.
I would like to see them retroactively change the style of I and II to fit III, which definitely looks the best.
I haven't played all of the Xenosagas, but my understanding is that the longest cutscene in those games is 45-minutes or thereabouts (not that that's much shorter). Xenogears is the one with cutscenes that stretch to over an hour.
Xenogears and Xenosaga aren't the same continuity, sadly. Xenogears by itself was thought by Takahashi to form the 5th part of a separate 6-part series. The man really puts the cart before the horse.
I did my part and tweeted! LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN, KOTAKU!
Aw, shucks. Thanks Yannick!
I normally wouldn't prefer to go totally off topic, but I have a burning question to which I can't seem to find the answer. Why do I still have like months-old posts in pending status? Why am I in pending status at all? I've been posting to this site for almost two years, and I've never behaved poorly or been…
I don't know. I have months-old comments still pending and I've been a well-behaved and polite Kotaku poster for like 2 years. It doesn't make sense.
Kotaku seems so non-functional lately that I hardly even want to contribute anymore.
Greeting, ghost denizens of the shadowy realm of eternal pending status! Neither you nor anyone else is likely to see this comment...ever!
You'll never see this post because it will be pending for eternity, but...
You'll never see this reply because it will be pending forever, but I find a certain grim comfort in absurdity.
You'll never see this post because it will be pending forever. Oh well.
This is weird to me. RPGs like these just aren't a good fit for mobile. How on Earth will they map FFVIII's controls to a touchscreen?
Caius from FFXIII-2 was worth caring about. His sole motivation was to stop Yeul's suffering, which inevitably meant the destruction of time itself. The last Final Fantasy villain I can think of that had sympathetic motivations was Cid Raines (also from the XIII trilogy), who was actually doing the right thing!
Wow! Smooth move, Bungie. This has made me seriously consider purchasing Destiny for the PS3. If only Blizzard would do something like this...
I feel that it might be too soon for a new Civ. Many people have only recently obtained Brave New World, which still has a lot of life left in it. I am, however, excited by the prospect of a spiritual successor to Alpha Centauri, the best Civ of them all.
It's nice to play something you know really well when you're sick—enough to occupy your mind and distract you from how bad you feel, but not intense enough to require you to exert yourself. Usually, I just lay on the bed with my Vita and play Tactics Ogre or some other JRPG with turn-based battles.
