While playing through Infinite, I felt very uncomfortable—because the game was actively trying to make me feel uncomfortable about the violence I was involved in. I believe that violence is an important part of the game's message.

I knew Jesus Christ played Bioshock!

Well, Cloud of the original FF7 has much more character and personality than later iterations of his design. I actually love the silly hair (that Barrett actually pokes fun at in-game) and cartoonish figure of those original models.

Just don't let him make movies.

Amen.

Even when I was 10 years old (and playing ps1 games), I could recognize poor voice acting and half-assed localization from a mile away. When companies already have a Japanese vocal track to work with, they don't have much to gain by trying to produce an English one. Americans who care to play Persona, Tales, or any

I really hope SE took some time to improve the facial animations, because although FFX's scenes looked really spectacular and dramatic back in 2001, animation technology has progressed quite a lot since then. Also, I hope they include an option to switch between English and Japanese audio. Given the massive storage

I actually felt that the first 25 hours of XIII were great. The middle sections drag a little bit, and I don't really see the necessity of the Gran Pulse missions which most people seem to have enjoyed. But despite my complaints about the middle portions of the game, the battles do get much more challenging, and the

1. FFIV — Genre-defining battle system, fast-paced (I would almost say "efficient") narrative, over-the-top drama

This list includes only the FF titles I have played, followed by the things I like most about each game.

It looks like a lunch box.

It definitely does require some memorization, but the combo system is really deep and allows for a lot of different possible approaches to getting that coveted "S" score.

I feel exactly the same way...and it's hard not to after experiencing how expansive the PS2 library became, and how the boundaries were repeatedly pushed and broken

I totally swore off EA when I heard about the microtransactions in DS3 (also when I realized that I couldn't play my copy of Battlefield 3 online without paying additional money for the multiplayer feature)

LOL I was asking who did you marry in Fire Emblem! But that's awesome that your girlfriend plays games too!

Nice. Who did you marry by the way?

Haha...no, I wouldn't flame you for that. I would just highly urge you to drop everything and play Final Fantasy IV (preferably the PS1 port—despite its longer load times, it's the most faithful to the original release). Persona 4 is such a great game. I haven't finished it yet on the PS2 though because damn that game

There's really no evidence other than popular myth to back the assertion that "the Wii sold because fatties, and soccer moms, grandmas, and people in general who don't play video games bought a Wii [etc.]" In my experience, almost every friend I have who calls him or herself a gamer owns a Wii, often alongside other

I very much want to play P4 golden, and I am sooo damn close to getting a Vita. I have two reasons so far to get it: P4 golden and Soul Sacrifice. I just need one more to justify my purchase haha

Amen to NSMBU—I've heard reviewers say it's generic, but it's anything but. I love all of the unique challenge modes that test your Mario-ing skill. Also the game has some absolutely gorgeous levels such as the one that looks like a Van Gogh painting.
