Probably because the story was a muddled mess, the combat was repetitive and dull and the game didn't bother exploring the remarkable world they built in the first few hours almost at all?

Well, seven at least dealt with a number of other topics as well. Eight just seemed to always go back to that pointless high school drama - in addition to the mother issues by the end of third disc!
8 is better only if you like whiny emo Japanese high school dramas.
That FFX picture looks like they just copy/pasted Yuna's face on both character models. That or a young Meg Ryan.
Specializing in one thing while ignoring the other aspects entirely is a terrible way to work in a team
Just calling it like I see it. Saying "I don't believe in specialization" is such a denial of reality that it just screams "I don't ever want to truly be good at something."
That's the road to mediocrity right there.
No money.
You seem to have a difficulty understanding quitting for some r&r and taking the fall and going into exile. I understand they're tough concepts and all, but it would help to figure out first what you're talking about before calling something a plot hole.
You clearly have no idea what a plot hole is - simply because you seem to have difficulty grasping what the story of the films was. Watch Dark Knight again; in the end, Batman becomes a vigilante, blamed for all the crimes commited by Harvey. Rises begins eight years later, with him still considered the villain. It's…
Quite a few of these aren't even one liners to begin with.
Here's what I think, and this is completely my theory, so it holds about as much water as anything else:
Batman didn't just "take eight years off," and even if that had been the story, it wouldn't be a plot hole. You might want to look up what the word means.
First, props on loving Porco Rosso, it's a gem.
I'm sure anyone could rationally agree with that assessment, angry hiding-behind-a-fake-name-on-a-gaming-forum sir.
It seems like, based on reading this and the reviews, that the series has gone even further down the route of "easiest and most clichéd emotional manipulation around." The first season started flirting with it right around episode one, but didn't really go full blown facepalm worthy until the very end. Not sure I'm…
Agreed, but you forgot "atrocious voice acting" and "dull, dull, dull storytelling" from the list.
I feel like time could have been better spent.
So long Youtube. Way to sell out and implode yourself. Something better will come along, it always does.
Ohhhh, you're one of those people. Probably not born in New York, but desperately clinging to the bullshit status symbol like a cat on the curtains. Believing that they're somehow better cause they own two very unlikeable personality traits and are referencing a "cult" book for teens to show how hip they are.
