Since the issue of rust came up, question - does Porsche have some ridiculously long corrosion warranty as well? I read in a newspaper article that its 12 years, unlimited miles. If yes, did they have that warranty in 2006 so it would apply to this car?

Wish I could find a non convertible one, as I like the coupe better with its big rear bay windows, but this convertible looks to be in fantastic shape.

Does it come with a moustache?

Not at all...I drive my RWD AMG in the snow all the time...I guess I should have said that the AWD would be a nice bonus to have in the snow.

Agree entirely.

Excellent point, M&C, and one I practice - I have an AMG I drive in the winter with snow tires. RWD doesn't mean you can't drive in the snow, just get the right tires, take your time and be extra cautious. Actually, even if you have AWD or 4WD that is sound advice. Snow tires are a must if you live up north, and I

I take the point of view that its a trade off of potential rust issues vs. not driving the car for 3-4 months of the year. Yeah, rust is bad for the body of the car, but its fixable. Leaving the car site for 3-4 months of the year is not good for the engine and other systems, and that can be a lot more complicated

Nice! AWD for the winter as well, so don't have to put this toy away when the snow falls!

I want to replace the standard Lexus badges on the wife's RX with your variant...can we get an aftermarket

Pinto engines are pretty common kit car motors. My dad's got one in his Merc Gazelle kit car. Simple, lots of cheap spare parts available, and with a kit car, you can put the gas tank in a better place.

Can't wait until one of them has a "mechanical issue" and our Coast Guard has to fish these idiots out of the Gulf...

Do you think it's because they cost so much that the only people who can afford them in today's economy are people who rarely drive themselves, so when they do drive, they are out of practice. Also, is this a form of lawsuit prevention? The folks that can afford these cars have high priced attorneys...

I had an '89 Firebird that was a deathtrap in winter. RWD, with zero weight on the back wheels...I had to put four 40 lb bags of salt in the back just to get it moving.

Tubbs, look! it's the biggest crack pipe...ever...."

Another great AMG find. If I only had the money, I'd start a collection. No ABC to worry about on this model, correct? Sarasota car as well, I grew up there....rust shouldn't be an issue unless the owner lived on the beach. Funny, anywhere else 100,000 miles would be decent (less than 10,000 a year), but in

At least we now know where Mr Perkins supply of crack comes from.... Bavaria.... Mister, I grew up in the 70s and 80s, and I had a Countach poster on my wall, and your BMw is no Countach...not by a long shot.
