As long as one goes in knowing that you will likely have a few items to fix and the maintenance costs will be high, it's the price one pays for owning a real gem of a car, and its a nice price!

. I know firsthand, as my first car was an '81 that I got from my grandad. He felt so bad about the engine cracking open, he got his friend, who owned a diesel shop, to put a gas engine that they had lying around, in the car....which still had diesel markings. This often resulted in the inverse of the audi

Cutlass Diesels of the early 80s. GM thought they could make a diesel engine by just ripping the spark plugs out of a gas engine. Sadly, they didnt consider the much higher compression and the engine blocks cracked quite readily. I know firsthand, as my first car was an '81 that I got from my grandad. He felt so

for Milwaukee, its not a car, it's a Harley Davidson bike. Seems like everyone in Wisconsin has at least one.

the trailer helps keep the rear wheels planted so all that HP and torque doesnt cause as much wheelspin...

GMs April Gold, which is really more lime green than gold, I believe is even rarer than verdoro green. April gold, is, of course, the coolest color for first gen Firebirds...I am not biased at all...

you would think Wisconsin, a state full of Germans, would know the rules of the autobahn, but it's worse here than anywhere else I have lived

He should crush someone's head....like a nut...

They kept digging and found Doug Henning and a bottle of Ale 8...

I just posted this as my favorite as well. Garak's commentary on "real spy work" vs. Bashir's fantasy of it really makes this one click.

"Our Man Bashir" - love Garak giving Bashir the "reality of espionage smack down" on his Bondesque fantasy.

with simple mods, drives great in the winter, tho...

Who are you?

the road up to Mauna Kea is odd-paved, then dirt, and then back to paved again. The tour van we took up there had magnetic brakes and big shocks.

I believe you can get the same engine that the 68 GTO has in the 68 Firebird 400. You should be able to get a decent Firebird for a little less than the GTO. Having a 68 bird myself, however, I can tell you that you need to subtract at least 10-30 HP per decade if its the original motor...age takes its toll..

that guy in the back of the pack is a real Nimrod....

I miss the Berger and Green ads from Pittsburgh...
