It’s such a bizarrely familiar place when I see documentaries or videos from that end of Russia. Looks like my back yard. Evergreens, birch, alder, muskeg, tundra, sub-alpine. Rivers, lakes and mountains everywhere.

It’s been wildly rainy over the last few months in the north Pacific ocean. In AK we get a lot of the same weather systems that hit northern Japan and eastern Russia once it’s calmed down a bit, and there was a lot of rain from July through September.
